PhD Student (May 2023 – April 2027)
I joined the Laforest-Lapointe lab in 2020 through an internship in the co-op program of the Université de Sherbrooke's bachelor's degree in biology. I then completed my master's in the lab (co-supervised by Prof. Peter Moffett), studying the impact of light on the plant pathogen Pseudomonas syringae.
My doctoral research project focuses on the impact of the leaf microbiota on disease establishment by P. syringae in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
Beyond my studies, I am passionate about science communication. I am the coordinator of the Sherbrooke committee of BistroBrain, a non-profit organization dedicated to science outreach, and I sit on the administrative committee of ComSciCon-QC.
